Frequently asked questions
How does this technology detector work?
We use a 4-layer detection system: signature matching (DOM patterns, headers, JS globals), CSP header analysis (detecting whitelisted SaaS domains), URL-domain mapping (matching script/link URLs against a curated database), and an optional AI deep scan for edge cases. This catches technologies that single-method scanners miss.
Is this tool free?
Yes, completely free with no limits on the number of sites you can scan. No account or sign-up required.
Why are some technologies not detected?
Some technologies are only visible server-side and leave no traces in the HTML or headers. Heavily customized or obfuscated setups may also not match our signatures. We continuously improve detection coverage.
What does "confidence" mean?
High confidence means multiple independent signals confirmed the technology. Medium confidence means we found one strong signal. Both are reliable — high confidence simply means more evidence was found.
What detection layers are used?
Each detected technology is labeled with its detection source: Signature (DOM/header pattern matching), CSP (Content-Security-Policy header analysis), URL (script/link URL mapping), or AI (deep scan inference). CSP and Signature detections are the most reliable.
